BIG WEEK AHEAD FOR JUNIOR CLUBS
Members and followers, by now you may have seen a brief statement from the NSWRL about a couple of points that we would like to bring further clarity too and state the official position of Panthers Juniors and a timeline of this weeks events.
For all our Panther Junior players, volunteers, families and clubs, we are excited, however now more than ever, your above and beyond support of your club executives to get through the below process and the week ahead physically and mentally is paramount to have them provide your children with a game of footy in 2020.
BREAKDOWN & THE WEEK AHEAD...
🥇 RETURN TO PLAY
Panthers Juniors for many weeks have had 18 July booked for Round 1 of the 2020 competition. This is now locked in to return to play if all off field requirements are met for under 6s to under 18s at present and all other competitions to be advised at a later date by the NSWRL.
🥈 RETURN TO TRAIN
Panthers Juniors can confirm training can resume for under 6s to under 18s only, AFTER a very stringent covid-19 action plan has been completed by your club and approved by the NSWRL. This action plan also includes a zoom training session conducted by the NSWRL.
This action plan was only received today by your club and can be found on https://www.nswrl.com.au/about/documents/covid-19/ for your perusal.
I urge you to be supportive and patient with your club after you review the length of this process. We will get through this but we need your help and support.
🥉 2020 COMPETITION REVIEW
All clubs have been magnificent in feedback related to the shortened season, the current reduction of teams, the financial risks involved and over the course of the week, feedback on the NSWRL covid-19 plan for the Board to review and compile a report for the district, this report will also include commentary around senior competitions. Junior League Board Meeting held this Thursday June 4th.
🏆 GENERAL MEETING
Next Tuesday Night, June 9th, the Clubs monthly General Meeting will be held to deliver the Boards report and the path we will pave for 2020 and beyond.
For now, be excited that we can take the field in 2020, more importantly, your club needs your positivity, support and patients more than ever before. The enormous amount of work required in such a short space of time will be monumental, but its your unrivalled attention and love to your team and your club that will assist in creating the best thing in world sport to happen in 2020, to see your child take the field and play a game of footy.
Enjoy the moment, however tomorrow we all have to get down to business.
